Comedy on the Moon

About the Team

We are the Comedy on the Moon team comprised of three boys, one 12 year old and two who will be 12 eventually. Our interest in space exploration intensified with the tour of SpaceX which we were lucky enough to receive with our BSA Troop 199.

Also we are one hit wonder of sorts because our first time in the Odyssey of the Mind, we won the regional competition and our first time in FLL, we advanced from Qualifying to win a 2nd place programming award at the Championship. Keeping in tradition as first timers, we would like to use VEX IQ which is a new robotics platform for us and thus try out our hands on C programming and SnapCAD. We will keep our fingers crossed that our first time winning streak continues and that we razzle dazzle as the Comedy on the Moon in 2015 Moonbots.

Phase One

What inspires our team about the Moon is:
Testimonial from someone who has viewed our tale:

Initially I had no idea what my wife, son, and son’s friends were up to. All I remember is seeing a big spongy cheese head in our living room. But now that I have seen the video, I understand that the team is using comedy to present their desire for lunar exploration. They even took inspiration from the Mag-Lev train ride we took in Shanghai. Whimsy + lot of science and technology = a quest to the moon in a classic chuckle video.
