The MOONBOTS 2015 competition is open for registration. 

 

THURSDAY 23 APRIL 2015

Start of Phase One. Teams can start registering and submit their Team Biography, Team logo and Consent Forms.

 

TUESDAY 23 JUNE 2015

Registration closes at 11.59.59PM (Pacific Time)
Teams must have completed their registration and submitted their Moon Tale and a Video Testimonial (meaning a good quote from someone who has seen the video) before 11.59.59PM (Pacific Time).

End of Phase One.

 

TUESDAY 7 JULY 2015

Announcement of the Phase One winners will happen on or around 7 July. Thirty (30) Teams will proceed to Phase Two. All necessary materials for participation in Phase Two will be sent to the 30 teams.

 

Start of Phase Two.

Teams must have completed creating their Lunar Landscape, their robot and Game Play and have submitted a one-page document describing their Game Play. They must also have finished and uploaded a video showing their outreach to the public. (See rules for details). Five photos must also be submitted to the MOONBOTS website before 31 August. The deadline for submission of the above is August 31 2015 at 11.59.59 PM (Pacific Time).

 

MONDAY 31 AUGUST TO SATURDAY 12 SEPTEMBER 2015

The 30 teams will have a Live Mission Transmission with the MOONBOTS judges, scheduled individually with the Team Captains in this period of time. The judges will also vote and find the winners of the MOONBOTS 2015 Challenge.

 

TUESDAY 15 SEPTEMBER 2015

The announcement of the three (3) Grand Prize winners will be made on or around 15 September 2015.

 

LAST WEEK OF OCTOBER 2015

The Grand Prize is a trip to Japan will be arranged for the Grand Prize winner teams.
